Biographies


Graham Dickson

Graham began his early career as a recording engineer at CBS studios(now Whitfield St.) He then became freelance to work alongside acclaimed producer (the late) Gus Dudgeon, where he made records with Sir Elton John (Mixing three Albums including the worldwide hit single "Nikita"), Stephen Bishop, Elkie Brooks, and Squeeze.
What followed was a string of collaborations with John Morales, Dan Hartman, Maze, Curtis Mayfield, Harold Faltermeyer(Axel F.), The Winans, and 5 Star.
He went on to develop a long-standing relationship, engineering and mixing tracks for Joan Armatrading and Julia Fordham, whilst nurturing his great love of reggae by producing albums for the legendary Steel Pulse, (earning him 2 recent Grammy nominations).
He has also produced Records for Lynden David Hall, President Brown, Jack Radicks, and mixed the international number one album and 3 hit singles for C.J. Lewis, including 'Sweets for my sweet'
He is signed now to EMI music as a writer and recent writing credits include a track on the million selling debut Album by Sonique and has Co-writen a song for Robin Gibbs latest Record.
Co-wrote, engineered and mixed Bob the builder album for BBC worldwide and mixed the two number one singles "Can We Fix It"(biggest selling single of 2000) and "Mambo Number 5".
Recently completed recording and mixing new Joan Armatrading Album, and currently writing songs for the new Magic Roundabout movie with Grant Mitchell.

Grant Mitchell

Grant began playing piano aged 2 and went on to study piano and composition at the Royal Academy of Music, where he was awarded the prestigious Piano prize.
After a spell writing and performing in various bands, he formed a production partnership with Bill Padley (Wise Buddah) to produce the debut album for singer-songwriter Julia Fordham, which gained an international profile and a number one record in Japan, and an award for Mitchell in the Tokyo Music Festival for best arrangement.
He went on to produce and arrange a further 2 gold albums for Fordham receiving critical acclaim.
Teaming up with award winning songwriter / producer Simon Climie, he played arranged, and programmed hit records for Louise and Eternal.
He was then approached by legendary producer Trevor Horn to collaborate on co-production projects, and subsequently joined the Sarm organisation. During this time he has worked with Seal, Eric Clapton, Lulu, Diane Warren, Wet Wet Wet, Lamont Dozier, Elton John, Joan Armatrading, Gary Barlow, Mark Owen(Take That), Beverley Night, Sonique, Enrique Inglesias, and also arranged and produced the gold- debut album for outstanding UK singer-songwriter Conner Reeves, which included the huge radio hits 'My Fathers Son', and 'Earthbound'
Now signed to EMI music, recent writing credits include a track on the million selling Debut Album by Sonique, and a song on Robin Gibb's latest album.
In 2000, he was drafted in by the BBC to become the musical alter-ego of 'Bob The Builder', and confused himself and pundits alike, by scooping the years biggest selling single with his production of the anthem 'Can we fix it?', and a further number one Album and single with 'Mambo no. 5' in 2001.
He is now signed to EMI music and is currently engaged in writing and producing for ex-East 17 singer Brian Harvey, and London records signing SW1 .
